Avoid Phishing, and Keep your Accounts Secure!

Through the use of fraudulent techniques, internet thieves attempt to “phish” your confidential information. It is important that you look out for unsolicited requests for personal or business information. Citizens Bank of Rogersville will never call or send emails asking for confidential information such as your card information, PIN, or account number.

In support of our continuing efforts to keep your accounts secure, we provide a debit card fraud alert system.

Here’s how it works:

When potential fraud is detected, you will receive an automatic SMS (text) message with the option to respond and confirm fraud or no fraud.

Five minutes after the SMS (text) message, you will receive an email notification, which also has the option to respond and confirm fraud or no fraud.

If there is no response received, you will then receive automatic phone calls to confirm or deny fraud. If fraud is confirmed or if there is a failure to authenticate your identity, you will be connected to a fraud analyst.

Remember – our messages will never ask for your PIN or account number.
